THW Adventures of 2022

2022 has been a year filled with adventure for travel her way. ..

After numerous trips to Peru, you might think that the excitement of adventuring in Cusco would wear off. But we’re here and happy to announce: it’s actually quite the opposite. During every visit, we fall more and more in love with Peru and everything it has to offer. Each trip is another opportunity to learn more, experience more, and connect more.

So this month, we’re sharing photos that capture the mesmerizing buzz that exists every time we land in Peru.

I had an amazing experience with Travel Her Way! I opted for the Inca Jungle Trek in Peru. Everything was taken care of, I just had to show up! The trip was great but our guide took it to the next level. He was the best! And our driver was excellent as well! I have already recommended this company to many other women looking for an adventure!

Peru stands for Perseverance, Excitement, Resilience, and Unique. 🇵🇪 From mountain biking, river rafting, zip lining, trekking 18miles of the Inca jungle, exploring Machu Picchu, learning Peruvian customs & traditions, and reaching 16,500ft. in elevation to gaze upon Rainbow Mountain. This trip was more of a journey vs. a vacation and I couldn’t have enjoyed it more with this adventurous group of women! Our first excursion, mountain biking through the Malaga High Pass in the majestic Andes.⛰

More from our second day of the Inca Jungle Trek! Coca leaf ceremony, Cocalmayo Hot Springs, making friends with the locals 🐶 and the best pina colada!

"Buenos DÍas! Step off the edge with courage and faith. Let God be your harness and enjoy the ride of your life! Had so much fun soaring through the air at Vertikal Adventure Park. Vertikal Zipline has one of the largest circuits in South America, with 6 zip lines, 1 suspension bridge, and 1 via ferrata. Even got the chance to go upside down & try the “Superman” 😜"

HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR TRAVEL HER WAY PERU TRIP:

- Explored Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

- Hiked the beautiful Rainbow Mountain

- Experienced the adventurous Inca jungle trek (4 days/3 nights)

- Enjoyed mountain biking, white water rafting, zip-lining, and hot spring spas

- Attended a cooking class and learn how to make authentic Pisco sours and ceviche

More from my Inca Jungle trek! Zip lining, train to Santa Teresa then Pisco sours to end the night!

The hardest climb reaps the most memorable view!

#flashback to last Friday when I finally made it to Rainbow Mountain 🌈 and conquered my first 16’footer!!

Rainbow Mountain via Llacto Cancha is a 4.3mile out & back trail with a 1,184ft.elevation gain to climb to 16,468 ft.😳The valley drips in greens, rust reds, and purples over the rugged peaks. If the hike sounds a bit too intense for you ( the altitude was no joke)don’t worry. You can ascend the mountain on horseback guided by a Sherpa. If hiking, go slow, breathe, drink lots of water & electrolytes, take your time, and enjoy the majestic views! 🤩 Oh & don’t forget to bring your passport with you to get the official Rainbow Mountain stamp!

The hike up Rainbow Mountain usually takes place during the end of our Peru adventures. The day before, it can feel like the peak of the trip is over, as we’ve already experienced Machu Picchu. BUT, do not underestimate Rainbow Mountain. There are no words to describe the colors you will see 🌈
